Privacy Policy
How St. George Bakersfield Greek Food Festival handles information you send through this website.
Last reviewed: August 29, 2026
Who we are
This site is operated by St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Bakersfield, California, for the annual Greek Food Festival. Questions about privacy: stgeosecretary@gmail.com or (661) 325-8694.
What we collect
If you Subscribe, Constant Contact (the festival mailing-list host) receives your email. Pre-sale tickets are sold through PayPal, which collects what it needs to complete the order (typically name, email, and payment details — we do not store card numbers on this site). Basic technical data (such as browser type or pages viewed) may be logged by our host to keep the site running. Parish phone and email are listed on FAQs; those messages go to the parish office, not through a form on this site.
How we use it
We use subscribe emails only for festival news (hours, menus, weather, schedule). We do not sell your information. We do not share it for other organizations’ marketing.
Who else might see it
Parish volunteers who handle festival email. Subscribe signups go to Constant Contact, which hosts the festival mailing list. Pre-sale ticket purchases go through PayPal. If we add a contact-form service or another payment processor, they will receive only what they need to do that job. We will name those here when they are chosen. Links to the Bakersfield SPCA, our parish site, or social media are their sites, with their own policies.
How to review or change your information
Email stgeosecretary@gmail.com to correct or delete your subscribe information. We will reasonably honor that request. For tickets bought through PayPal, you may also need to contact PayPal.
Do Not Track
This site does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track (DNT) signals. If we add analytics or advertising later, we will update this section.
Children
This site is for a family festival but is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
How long we keep it
Subscribe emails stay in Constant Contact until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information sent through this site. No website is completely secure.
California visitors
We serve California residents, including Kern County. This notice is written in plain language to explain our practices. We are a church parish operating a community festival — not a large for-profit platform. If our practices change (for example, paid ads or a data-sharing tool), we will update this page.
Updates
When this notice changes, we will update the “last reviewed” date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means the new notice applies to new information you send us.
